convo with dad:
jacob and esau/when jacob deceived isaac: he covered his arms with a lamb's skin, and thus received the blessing from isaac (God figure). so, by another lamb (Jesus), shall we be blessed and saved.
for paul/YG kids (who say, i don't want to live the hard life of a christian): esau said, what do i care about the birthright? i'm hungry! just as esau gave something much more important for his flesh, do we give important things away. (use perhaps as a sermon?)
the geneology: after blah who lived 900 yrs, blah, blah, and then enoch, who walked with God, and lived for short time. it is not the length of life that is important, but the duration lived with GOD.
remember!!: record the story of dad's family.
how a rice paddy is grown in korea/asian countries: seeds are grown in a little plot first, then replanted into the larger rice paddies. when they are grown in the first pad, it grows small. when it is taken to the larger paddy, it wilts, as though it will die, but then grows stronger than if it had stayed in the first paddy. the parallel to life, and dad's life in particular. if you stay at one place all your life, you grow in limited fashion, but if you are uprooted, you will grow stronger (the reason that immigrants will always do better than natives).
